A most enjoyable day was had by all during the first Bike & Brunch event organised jointly by the British and St Andrew’s Societies. Sponsored by Brompton Mexico.
It was easy to find the meeting point across from the “Angel” as the sounds of the Pipes echoed through Reforma Avenue!
A total of 30 enthusiastic punters of all ages gathered with bikes of all sizes and colours. Prominent among these were the 6 very light folding bikes provided by Brompton Mexico. Riders took turns to try out these bikes which seemed made especially for Mexico City!
We arrived to the Zócalo, where we managed to take a few pics and then it was back on the bikes and after a brief photo op at the Palacio de Bellas Artes it was straight to the Duke of Lisbon Pub for a well deserved British Brunch and a variety of local and foreign brews. We also enjoyed our meals with the music of What The Flock Ceilidh Band.
As always we are thankful for our wonderful organisers from both the British and St Andrew’s Societies who have been very creative in developing different kinds of events that are bringing our communities back together after 2 years of absence due to the Covid-19 health situation.
Next stop:
Join us for the Great British Bonfire Bash on 5th of November at the Reforma Athletic Club!
